Just a quick note on a paint masking technique I ran across when talking to professional house painters.
With my catalog of painting faces through Infinity models, I found I had another face to paint up before jumping into a lot of helmeted heavy infantry. I decided it might be fun to show the successive stages of how I was painting faces now, using the LazyPainter technique.
With CodeOne shelved for now, we turn our eyes to Infinity N4, the latest rule set from Corvus Belli. We started out with a smaller 200 point game to keep our game time efficient but still allow for a large enough board.
90 consecutive days of painting was the eventual milestone I reached last Friday when I set out to see how long I could keep up a painting streak. I reached a point on Saturday where I had the choice of pushing onward or relaxing into a less regimented approach to my hobby work. The temptation to “chill” was too great and I decided to end the great ride.
We ran game 3 of CodeOne this weekend under the canopy of Tentfinity. At this point, Sean and I have developed some thoughts around the system but first a quick report.
Before I jumped into my Paint Challenge, I was talking about solo X-wing and the experiences I was having. I did have a report in the works and I figured I should get it out before the details turn to mush.
I have finished up the draft of scenario 4 and ran it through some paces to make sure it initially works as expected. I had to tweak a few things but I’m happy with the final result. And of course I needed to mix up my board some more to fit the new scenario layout.
