I hit a snag with my Test of Honour board in that I couldn’t find all the ingredients to make my own wash locally. They are now on order but I can’t do much until that package comes in. I do have some scenery terrain I’d been meaning to paint up and now was as good a time as any.
The week is winding down but I have a few final things that were completed just under the wire. The first is one of my first attempts at scatter terrain. I don’t do a lot of this as I usually buy a scenery piece and paint it up. This time I wanted to have some bamboo-based terrain and that isn’t easy to outright buy so I had to make my own.
With all the work I’ve been doing on Mantic’s miniatures game, the Walking Dead: All Out War, I thought I’d start up a little sidebar post series that focuses on this game and other related topics.
I completed painting all 26 walkers from the kickstarter wave 1 shipment before Christmas but only now had time to take some quick shots of them. So here we have, Walker Class of 2016!
Ah yes, earlier this week my KS copy of The Walking Dead: All Out War came in. All things told, it came in pretty good shape for the way it was packed (I’ve been reading some horror stories on the KS campaign page but it also sounds like Mantic is taking care of those issues pretty quickly).
I’ve been pretty excited for The Walking Dead: All Out War miniatures game from Mantic for some time now and as of late last week, the first wave of Kickstarter pledges are shipping. Mantic being UK based, I’m not likely to receive my pledge for another week or so but I decided to celebrate by test painting one of the free promo Walkers I picked up at Gen Con.
