With my work in Tabletop Simulator for Dropzone Commander far enough along for testing, Colton and I threw down a virtual game. We went wake back to basics, with only a small 500 point force each on the “Targets of Opportunity” bellwether scenario.
Once the belle of the ball among my gaming group, Dropzone Commander has fallen far from the graces of our table and it wasn’t even the mighty COVID, the Destroyer, that did it in.
You, know, the Chinese one. Less than a week away and all. Like the groundhog that came out only to squint in the oppressive light and wonder just what the hell he’s been doing, I have emerged from hibernation to catch up. It has been a little while since I posted but it hasn’t been all mai tais and hoop skirts. The new year brought a new role at work and some other life changes (all good-ish) that will disrupt my hobby and gaming time a bit more before it is all over. In the meantime, we can catch up.
The Zuyong Invincibles, heavy infantry main line troops of Infinity’s Yu Jing faction, are one of my favorite unit concepts in the game. I like the idea of a battalion of these heavy armored troops running around taking charge. I started off my collection with the Red Veil starter and it included one of these soldiers but I’ve now expanded the group quite a bit and have refined my paint scheme a little more.
