Dock Time

Getting the vegetation covered for my table, I want to have a way to get my crew back on shore from their boats. That means docks and boats.

Past Efforts

As this transition to life in Texas stretches onward, I’ve struggled to work on anything new. Most of my gaming and hobby time has grind to a halt as we wait for our house to finish up and most of my stuff stuck in storage. There are some signs of light at the end of the tunnel as things look to close in the next couple months. Still a ways to go but soon we’ll measure the time in weeks and days instead of vague months. That being said, I did have some projects I finished up right before the move and was able to carve out some time today to showcase them properly.

Terraining The Days Away

As my “consecutive days painting” rolls on, I put it to good use by getting through some terrain projects I’ve been brewing for a while. First up is my Warcry (Fauxcry) starter set terrain.

Storing Blood Rage

Last week I hinted at the storage issues that come with Blood Rage and I’ve been working on taming the plastic coming from that collection. I know that several professional manufacturers offer kits for storing the game all in one box but with the 3D Printer, I figured I could work it out on my own.

The Time Of Fire & Axe Is Nigh

I dusted off an older game from my shelf as my group was looking for games to play this past weekend. While we ultimately tried something else, bringing out Fire & Axe again reminded me that there was something I wanted to pimp out in this game.

Squaring Those Dropzone Paper Buildings

Almost a year ago, while participating in our local Winter Campaign of Dropzone Commander, the campaign manager came in with some nifty templates.  These templates are made to act like a base for the buildings to keep them square, which is an issue because the buildings usually fold flat for storage and don’t easily spring back into shape. I was able to use them in a game and I loved them but not owning a 3D printer, I could only look on.  I even tried my own hand at it with my CNC machine but it didn’t work out too well.

Thingiverse user Scooper4711 had the files up and with my friend’s 3D printer going strong, he was gracious enough to crank some out for testing.

More Than Meets The Pie

Taking a break from all the Dropzone fun-ness I’ve been having, I wanted to show off a gift from a friend: a Halloween Pumpkin.
