Continuing on with the “who wielded it best” series, we have Tyreese up with his hammer. Clementine came out swinging in her debut. We’ll see if Tyreese can keep up.
Tyreese, Pro Football Player, is pretty simple with just his trusty hammer putting him at an easy 74 points.
The lights flicker on, blinding Tyreese as he gets to his feet. As his eyes adjust, the stark room comes into focus centering on the blood scrawled message in the center of the room: “SURVIVE.” Before he can even think about the cryptic message, Tyreese sees the walkers. With no discernible way out, the message becomes crystal clear as the dead start to notice they too are no longer alone…
Since Tyreese gets more dice when he gets ganged up on, and more dice means more odds of getting headshots, he decides to run out and attract two walkers in the first round.
Unfortunately, he pulls a Roamers card and gets a third walker to join in. This is a bit more than he was bargaining for. If he can land one headshot, he’ll be equal in dice count and have a little advantage of 3 white/3 red vs 6 red dice.
The walkers muster an attack that would killer a lesser foe but Tyreese fights back and then some, taking out two walkers instead. Tyreese can throw an impressive amount of dice down with Beatdown and Block and Tackle each adding another red die to his impressive 3 white dice (melee + hammer). The kicker at the end is he is most likely able to score a headshot rolling that many dice so Tyreese’s Hammer will add one more red die to the result.
Usually the survivor will need a bit of luck to make it just to the highest threat level. I think with Tyreese, the Pit will need some luck to challenge him.
Tyreese checks the first stash token and finds a Tire Iron.
Then goes to get engaged with multiple walkers again. A failed Feeding Frenzy ends up being a boon to Tyreese as it doesn’t add any threat and fails to do anything else.
With only two walkers to contend with, Tyreese makes short work of them.
Not even a surprise Lurker is a worry to Tyreese.
The Hunger card brings on multiple walkers again.
And Tyreese just destroys them, with the second headshot gained only because the hammer triggered the extra die and it came up terrific. Two more walkers down and only one to go.
Tyreese checks the last stash token to find a two-by-four.
Then goes to engage the last walker who never really recovered from his first encounter with Tyreese. Tyreese make short work of him and ends the session in record time.
With the last walker destroyed, Tyreese hears a faint click and notice behind them that a door has opened, lancing the room with a thin stream of light. Without hesitation, Tyreese runs through the door into the blinding light…

The Pit seems to be on a losing streak…..
Meanwhile, Axel starts scrounging for a hammer!

Axel: “I escaped the Pit before Hammers were cool. You follow me?”
And yeah, the Pit is having a rough go. We’re getting into some pretty heavy hitting survivors too so I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep coming out on top. When you can routinely get 4 dice, Walkers tend to have a rough go at it.
