Casting Call

With my first successful casting of the weapon mount for Dropzone Commander’s Wagon units, I went and finished up the other two mounts.  After they dried and cured, I cutoff the excess green stuff and shaved them down to size.

While the iphone image quality leaves a lot to be desired, you can tell the casts are a bit softer than the original piece up top. I shouldn’t matter as they’ll be hidden under the weapon rack itself and, at 10mm, it will hardly be noticeable.

Underground Hangar Part Two Plus Bunk Buddies And A Chance Encounter

Finishing up the Dropzone Commander Underground Hangar took a little longer than expected.  The biggest issue was painting up the closed baffles for the hangar opening.  I struggled a couple of times until I found a simple way to just get it down.

Construction Woes

Mantic did a much better job this year running a “Walking Dead Week” and kept up their blog everyday on new Walking Dead content.  Nothing new came out to calm my growing fear that Mantic is discontinuing its support for the solo aspects of the game but hopefully I’ll find out more at Gen Con. Unfortunately, I didn’t have much else to add this week after all their information came out but I did break open some Dropzone Commander models and work them up.

I picked up several of the new Famous Commander models and was excited to open up this bad boy and get it assembled.

Dropzone Commander Commandeered

“Commandeered” is not quite the right word as everything seems amicable but in other news from Dropzone Commander world, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention this huge announcement from earlier this week:

Today we have an extremely exciting announcement here at TTCombat. We have completed a deal with Hawk Wargames to purchase both the incredible Dropzone Commander and Dropfleet Commander.

Walking Dead “Wednesday”: Body Count

After making my Lurker variant using one of the existing Walking Dead models, I found that I wanted more but didn’t want to start ripping apart a bunch of my already painted doubles so I’ll have to wait to see what other doubles I might get later on.  I don’t want to have to wait too long so I went in search of some modern figure bodies that I might be able to use. Eventually, I found a set of dead body figures from TTCombat and after receiving them, I found they work quite well.

TTCombat figures come unpainted.
