Joining The Insta-Game

After some gentle coaxing, I decided to take the plunge and put Pimp My Board Game on Instagram. I likely pretty late to the party but it’ll be nice to have an outlet that is a bit more instantaneous for those times when I’m out and about without a full on post needed. Not that I was worried but @pimpmyboardgame was available so I should be easy to find.

On The Table: A Song Of Ice & Nightvaults

While my river slowly takes shape night after night, I was free to get in some gaming. This time, we broke out A Song of Ice & Fire Minis to get in our first game in quite awhile. I’m focusing on Lannisters and was excited to try out some of the Kickstarter figures I hadn’t been able to put to the table due to all the learning games I played at home and at Gen Con.

Back For A Song

Well. After 3+ months, CMON was finally able to ship out the other half of my Song of Ice and Fire Miniatures Game pledge.  I hadn’t realized until I saw the shipping notification what effect that botched delivery had on my desire to play the game. Nevertheless, it has arrived.

A Song of Ice & Fire: Night’s Watch and Free Folk Full Reveals

Likely not a very inspired post but I took all the photos I could of the new expansions coming up for Song of Ice & Fire Miniatures game at Gen Con 2018 and figured I should post them up for others to see.

Gen Con 2018 Day 2

Gen Con 2018 Day two began a little later, thankfully and was tournament-free.  Up first was the Frostgrave Event with the designer, Joseph McCullough.

Thoughts On A Game Of A Game Of Thrones

So after our first game of A Song of Ice & Fire Miniatures Game, I’ve had some time to collect my thoughts.  As a quick recap, we played a 30 point “small” game using only the starter set. The army lists were netdecked from the Kickstarter updates that featured some initial build lists.

A Game Of A Game Of Thrones

With most of my Kickstarter package in from A Song of Ice & Fire Miniatures Game in, I pushed to get it to the table and finally put it through its paces. My friend and I had a chance to play a demo of the game back at last year’s Gen Con but the experience was pretty piss poor.  I’ve watched several playthroughs online and read the rules fully so was hopeful that we could see the game in the best light this time.
