With the Yan Huo complete (and sealed this afternoon), I turn to the other big boy, the Mowang.

With the Yan Huo complete (and sealed this afternoon), I turn to the other big boy, the Mowang.

I decided to go for some additional detail on my Yan Huo Invincible starting with the always annoying edge-highlighting.

I was marking time today with a straight 30 minute session. My basing process is a bit lackluster on my infinity models as I went with a simple blacktop road and 20th century yellow lines.

With the rule concepts in place, it is time to test this sucker out. For this test mission, I simulated a “find and extract” scenario. In the bottom six cards of the 24 card event deck was the mission objective. When a squad searches and find that card, it has an objective and the final goal is to get it off the map where the army initially entered.

Sunday gave me a lot of time to paint so I knocked back 4 hours and finished off three figures (except the base).

A short 45 minute session tonight, adding the green (actually “wizard orb” from Army Painter) accent to several of the recent Infinity figures.

As discussed at the conclusion of my Phase 2 board building, one of the main goals pushing me forward is creating a sustainable solo experience for Dropzone Commander. With that in mind, I have the Alpha version of my solo rules ready and I’ve ran through a playtest already (report next time). This is just a summary of the rules and concepts at this point since things are pretty untested.

And the orange continues! A little over 2 hours tonight to burn through the rest of my Infinity minis that need a little orange love.

Day 2 on my 30 minutes of painting for 30 days brings more orange armor brigade. This time with the smallest of my Infinity minis- the little tinbot B.
