I was able to dig out a little and get another Pit game in this week. This week, we stick around with Tyreese and continue with the “who wielded it best” competition.

Tyreese, Blinded By Rage is up next.  I had to bend the 75 point limit a bit to keep Tyreese in the “hammer builds” so he weighs in at a bloated 85 points. I don’t have a lot of confidence in this iteration of Tyreese as his damage output doesn’t look much better than Pro-Football Tyreese and he’s 11 points more.  He also has a bad power, “Raging!” that ups threat even faster, which will make this pit venture harder.

The lights flicker on, blinding Tyreese as he gets to his feet. As his eyes adjust, the stark room comes into focus centering on the blood scrawled message in the center of the room: “SURVIVE.” Before he can even think about the cryptic message, Tyreese sees the walkers.  With no discernible way out, the message becomes crystal clear as the dead start to notice they too are no longer alone…

Tyreese wades in quickly and purposely gets into a little walker sandwich to get the most out of his dice.  They play nice and net him his first walker kill, downing the other one in the process.

With an event that just added a threat and his Raging! ability, Tyreese is already 5 threat into the match and we’re only at the end of the first round.

A quick search nabs a Fire Extinguisher and Tyreese is off to go pick more fights.

But this time ends up with some horrible dice and takes a bite from these goons.

The infection don’t bother this tough sonnuva bitch.

But we are getting almost into Medium territory by the end of round 2.

Tyreese lucks out and gets Emergency Supplies, bringing him back up to 8 life and then runs down to the last supply token.

And runs into a fiesty little walker.  Walker Duane goes down but not for good.

The event pull (Too Quiet) really does a number on the threat and throws him into high threat… Just where Ragin’ Tyreese likes it.

After grabbing the last supply token, Tyreese runs into the trio of walkers he left behind.

Only to pull a brutal event card and risk possibly 3 more walkers joining the party.

Luckily, only two can reach him bringing the total walker-rama to five undead.  This would be instant death time to almost anyone else but with Tyreese at seven life, he has a good chance of at least surviving this encounter.

Walker chuck their ten reds and get a pretty standard roll, if not a little heavy on the blanks.

After everything is said and done, Tyreese throws an insane amount of dice for a survivor: 3 red standard, 1 white for the hammer, 1 red for Raging!, and 4 reds for the four additional walkers surrounding Tyreese.  He gets at least one head shot so rolls another red die for a total of 10 dice, beating out the five walkers… which I just realized should have thrown 5 more red dice! arghh! hold please…

OK. 3 more hits for the walkers… which will make a lot of the rest of my pics irrelevant but ah well.

Tyreese would have killed two more walkers and beat down a third but the extra 3 hits from the appropriate 15 red dice the walkers threw evened everything out so Tyreese comes up with a whole hand o’ nuthin. But, 15 reds coming your way is usually an instant death sentence and Ragin’ (ty)Reese blocked it all with nary a scratch.

With the extra threat added to melee, it easily ends the round with the max threat and shuts down the whole debacle. Raging Tyreese was a pretty big fail due to some unlucky rolling and some heavy threat adds from the event cards.  One last hammer figure to go with Prison Advisor Tyreese.  Since I’ll want to deck him out in his riot gear glory, I’ll have to add some more points to the Pit for “fairness.”
