Alright, so with my new Sniper variant underway, I wanted to break for a little bit before hitting up my next session of The Pit.
This time, we’re going to throw in another twofer (Pit be hungry, yo) with Billy & Ben.
These two are a bit funny as they have no pack so I can only get them so close to 75 points. Too bad The Pit doesn’t care if you bring enough points so 54 points is all I can muster. Since these two make it through the Prison, I had them snag a Riot Helmet and Stab Vest (Ben only, for… obvious reasons). A trusty Kitchen Knife and Machete round out their pathetic attack options.
The lights flicker on, blinding Billy and Ben as they get to their feet. As their eyes adjust, the stark room comes into focus centering on the blood scrawled message in the center of the room: “SURVIVE.” Before either brother can even think about the cryptic message, Ben sees the walkers. With no discernible way out, the message becomes crystal clear as the dead start to notice they too are no longer alone…
Billy & Ben don’t really have much of a chance unless they can get some lucky rolls in quickly and thin out the walker numbers.
They take a cautious approach but Pandemonium ensues and brings No-face walker in on them.
They actually do ok and knock her to the ground.
But in the process, already creep into Low threat territory. Since they have Low nerve, this pace is going to be rough on them.
Thinking to get better equipment, they run over to the nearest supply token and find a Lurker for their trouble. They luck out on the die roll but the extra threat hurts all the same.
Distracted is pulled and I think this Event Card needs a house rule that it is the only time where, in solo play, you actually move a walker in the direction of your choice. It seems implied that the walkers are not interested so maybe I’ll try that. But not today. Billy & Ben get surrounded.
But totally luck out and even manage to knock No-face on her ass again.
Threat is really on the move and this will likely be Billy & Ben’s last panic free turn.
Damn The Pit is surly tonight! Just giving Billy & Ben no break as they run over to another supply token only to find a box. Billy would argue that the box might make a great place to hide so it isn’t really “nothing.” Ben tells Billy to shut up.
Oh crap! The Walking Dead arrive and bring 4 more walkers into play and then all move to the nearest survivor. Ben totally should have hid under the box like Billy wanted.
S’ok kids. You got this. I have faith.
Yeah! That’s the way we roll!
