CabinCon 2019

Our annual gathering , CabinCon, happened this past weekend with four of us making the initial trek up the mountains this year. Sean, Colton, Reese, and I got things settled upon arrival and immediately jumped into some gaming. We kicked things off with a game that caught my eye in a living room full of game boxes and tubs: Meeple Circus.

“FateCon” 2017 Part 1

Earlier this year, I had the fortune to set up a flight to Dallas over this past holiday weekend to hang out with another gaming friend. He lives in Fate, Texas, a small burb outside of Dallas and so we decided to call this little game fest “FateCon.”

It just so happen that another event was happening nearby called the Dallas Games Marathon (DGM).  This game-centric event happens every month and for $20, you can get a pass to play games at their facility and use their library of over 1,500 games. We only decided to go for one day but found that even going one day is worth the $20 weekend admission.

So Thursday was technically over and Friday had begun but I was still keyed up from The Walking Dead game I ran and winning a game of Liar’s Dice so our resident night owl and I started up a game of Mottainai before calling it quits and heading to bed.
