Dead Wednesday: Heavy Horses and Plastic Tanks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week I was able to finish up a couple more items on my Walking Dead to-do list: the Rick on Horse figure and my <a href=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/?p=1778\">cheap plastic toy tank<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The tank was exceedingly easy as I try not to spend too much time on terrain if I can help it.\u00a0 After a comment on my initial post about the tank type, I started looking into it and found that it kind of resembled an <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/M48_Patton\">M48 Patton<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/M48_Patton_2-2-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1911\" src=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/M48_Patton_2-2-1-400x221.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"221\" (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I liked the simplicity of that scheme so I ended up co-opting it for my cheap replica.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tank04-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1915\" simple star stickers and applied them to the appropriate areas, mimicking the the stock M48 picture.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tank03-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1914\" src=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tank03-1-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tank03-1-400x300.jpg 400w, http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tank03-1-198x149.jpg 198w, grey.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tank02-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1913\" src=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tank02-1-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" pealed off the stickers and my tank was basically done.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tank01-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1912\" src=\"http:\/\/pimpmyboardgame.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/tank01-1-400x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" scenario I have in mind.<\/p>\n<p>Rick on Horse was a pretty difficult model to paint due to the tight areas around his shirt and jacket.
