With the first block of Infinity Escalation League done, need to swell the Dahshat ranks a bit. I can’t just sit back on my painted Yu Jing units and pretend I’m playing Dahshat so bring on the recruits! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I already have some new Haqq members I’ve put together and primed but they won’t be enough. I had some traveling to do so I brought a bunch of unassembled kits and got to work. Here we have McMurrough (top left), Ghulami doc (top right), her helper bot (bottom right), and a Hunzakut. Everything went together well except McMurrough. There were a lot of casting warpage and it just didn’t want to go together well. I foolishly threw my blister pack details away as someone told me I could likely have asked Corvus Belli for a replacement. I got him done in the end with a lot of green stuff to fill in the terrible gaps. Hopefully it looks ok painted up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next up, I have two Jackbots for Fiddler. While she has been great solo, her little segway death scooters are even more fun. To get them done I first broke them. It was an accident and I was surprised at how easy it was to do so I recommend doing it so that it doesn’t happen to you after the model is all painted up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I actually wanted to do this anyway so it was no big deal. I want to customize these Jackbots beyond their static “standing” pose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breaking the neck of the bot, I can both pin it for more support and alter the angle\/direction for more posing options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like this! I used a concrete barrier terrain piece (found at Miniature Market) and pinned the Jackbot going up the side to murder someone from an unexpected angle. The Jackbots have Climb+ just like their momma so going all parkour is in their wheelhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll continue the tread tracks up the side of the barrier when I paint it up. Since I have two bots, I need something different for the other one as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My dad showed my Tokyo Drift the other night and there is a scene where the young punk kid is street racing in a housing development and ramps, Dukes-of-Hazzard-style, through a building. I used it as inspiration to help emphasize the speed of these little deathbots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My greenstuff skills need work as the ramp is a little too contrived and my “smoke\/fire” from the rear of the wheel can use some work. All in all though, I am happy with it and think it will paint up fine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other half of the barrier was also put to good use. I’ve had this custom build brewing in my head for a while. The motorized bounty hunters got a big boost this season and like a dutiful little minion, I picked up one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also has a profile where she is off the bike so I started with that. I took her off the bike and now she’s traded her hog for a piece of uncomfortable concrete. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It makes for a very easy and effective mod. I also get a spare motorcycle from it. We’ll deal with later though. I have to get a few more figures assembled and then I’ll run a batch priming night to get them ready to enter the painting queue. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
